It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Aluminum Monster vs. Fatty Magoo, The Gang Solves the North Korea Situation

Smallville: Bizarro (Season Premiere)

Dénouement, thy name is Smallville. Jesus, do you think they could have the climax of the episode at the halfway point? I mean, they’re already halfway there. This show is fucking retarded. I’m not sure why I’m still watching. Also, way to half-assedly introduce Supergirl. Lame.

Mad Men: Long Weekend

Moonlight: No Such Thing as Vampires (Series Premiere)

Well that was sort of, eh. It wasn’t horrible, but it didn’t really stand out. The fact that it’s premise is so similar to Angel and Forever Knight will of course force comparisons by fans of those shows. I guess CBS figures most of its viewers didn’t watch those shows. Having been a fan of Angel, I know I definitely compared them, and unfortunately for this show, Mick St. John is the least interesting character on the cast. It’s your basic procedural, it almost seems like it came out of the random plot generator. I feel like a lot of the new shows this season have such a safe-ness to them, that they’re destined to live a season or 2 until something really original comes along and forces them out. Maybe there are some better stories in this show, and I’ll keep watching to see, but I have been saying that a lot about shows this season.
