Fall 2007 TV Schedule and Premiere Dates

OK, It’s that time of the year again. The season premieres are coming and I’m getting psyched up to watch it all. Well maybe not all of it, but at least some of it. I’m going to lay out the premiere dates and talk a bit about which shows I’m excited about.

See here for my annotated TV schedule.

BTW, I’m totally stealing all the premiere dates and schedule info straight from TVSquad.com, so thanks to them. Check it out after the break. Read the rest of this entry »

Out of the office…

Well, I don’t really have an office for this venture, per se, but I will be on vacation, far from my television for a couple days. Don’t worry though, my trusty SageTV system is recording everything for my return.

What’s in, what’s out

Well, here’s my take on what the upfronts mean to me. What shows I’m excited about, what shows I’m sorry to see leave, and which I’m glad are gone.

See the list of what’s canceled, staying, new and what’s moving after the break.

BTW, Many thanks to the bloggers at TVSquad for their compilation of these lists.  Read the rest of this entry »

Vacation Notice!

Gentle readers, you may have noticed, I haven’t updated much in the last week. That’s because I’m in Hawaii, enjoying a birthday-celebratory vacation. A little present to myself as it were. I probaby won’t have any other updates until I get back, but until then, my computer is hopefully diligently recording everything I’m missing.

Until I write again, Aloha!

Season Premieres are approaching!

Well, in my surfing, I found a list of all the premieres by date.

Thanks TVSquad

Have fun without me!

Well, I’m on vacation this weekend, far from my television. I’ll probably watch something Sunday when I get back, but who knows.

Oh, TV listings, how you’ve failed me.

Well, sometimes the computer's wrong. I ended up missing the Scrubs episode on Tuesday because there was a wrong listing for a previous episode of Scrubs. So now I have no idea what episode I watched that night. The other thing I somehow didn't record was American Inventor. Thank whoever for BitTorrent.

I must be odd man out

Well, surfing around my friends/random blogs the other day, it seemed like everyone else has been watching Project Runway. I wasn’t necessarily avoiding it, but between everything else I already watch, there just wasn’t room in the schedule for it. So, I decided to compile a list of the various post I read about the finale.

Technical Difficulties

Well, this weekend I was having problems with my DVR computer. I was getting stuttering video and random lockups. I realized that one of the hard drives had started to go bad, mainly due to being overheated in the case. So, I ended up replacing the two 160Gb drives with a 400Gb which runs a bit cooler. I ended not recording a few things Friday, luckily my friend, who runs a much more insane version of a PVR computer, had recorded the stuff I missed, and anything else he didn’t, I guess I’ll have to download or wait for it to end up in repeats. Ah the joys of geek-itude.

A few notes for the coming weeks

Well, looks like the remainder of the midseason shows are going to premiering soon, so hopefully I'll be able to get some reviews of those done. What I'm looking forward to are, Free Ride, The Loop, The Unit, The New Adventures of Old Christine, Sons and Daughters, Modern Men and Pepper Dennis. There's a couple other shows I'll also check out, Conviction, Heist, The Bedford Diaries, What About Brian and Teachers. Who knows, there may be a couple of good shows in there somewhere.

The hits keep coming…

Ok, some people have been looking for theme songs. Here’s a link to a story at TVSquad where you find the theme song for the Boondocks.

Nor do I condone…

Well, just a few words about downloading TV shows off the internet. I don’t have any here, nor do I encourage or condone such downloading. But if you really must, try mininova.org. And give Life On Mars a try.

Just a heads up…

I plan on writing up new grades and reviews based on Sweeps programming and what not heading in the holiday hiatus. I may also hold funeral proceedings for the departed shows. So much pressure!

Hello. The reason I’m starting this ‘blog is to document and comment on the rather ridiculous amount of TV I watch nearly daily. I will try to update daily, but may not. Please keep in mind, this is only what I watch. I don’t have any professional reason for watching.

I’m going to post here some of my prior ramblings on TV, including my grades of the new shows and the new seasons.
