Lost: Lockdown

Lockdown = Locke down… it's a double meaning…

Veronica Mars: The Rapes of Graff

ROFL… the Lamb re-election campaign poster "18 – It's Legal!" Veronica's sob story at the wig shop…

As for the MotW… decent. Too bad I can't really remember what episode Troy was in before. Now I really need to buy and rewatch the season 1 DVDs.

Almost forgot… the cameos by Michael Cera and Alia Shawkat (George Michael and Maebe on Arrested Development) were awesome.

Out of Practice: Hot Water

Courting Alex: Big Client

Overhaulin’: Hot Head

Bones: The Woman in the Tunnel

Lost: The Whole Truth

Yay! New Lost episode. So, there’s a Sun pregnancy plot, Henry the balloonist’s map, and Locke’s hatch. Charlie was less annoying.

Widmore Labs… wonder if that’ll be important. Just looked it up, and there may be other Widmore companies that may be important.

Weird how the island seems to have some sort of curative powers. Locke’s legs, Sun’s faulty/not faulty fallopian tubes. It’s a miracle.

Veronica Mars: The Quick and the Wed

OMG! Tinseltown Diaries! ROFL! Awesome. Oh, I would love to know what #8 is on the Bachelorette scavengar hunt list. Also awesome was the Silence of the Lambs callback. Ah, Kendall. Haaron. Awesome.

Out of Pratice: Model Behavior

Courting Alex: The Mattress

Watched log for Monday

Family Guy: Bryan Sings and Swings

American Dad: Rough Trade

Sealab 2021: The Legend of Baggy Pants

How I Met Your Mother: The Wedding

Two and a Half Men: That Special Tug

Out of Practice: Your, Mine or His?

Medium: Doctor’s Orders

Emily’s Reasons Why Not: Pilot

Review forthcoming.

Jake in Progress: The Lying, the Watch, and Jake’s Wardrobe

Thought I’d check this out. I like Ian Gomez and Wendie Malick, so it was worth a watch,  since it got renewed, someone must have liked it. It wasn’t bad, but, I think I’ll watch a few more episodes before making a decision.

Midseason grades are in!

OK, here’s a update with Midseason grades for all the new fall shows. I’ll put up some reviews of the new midseason shows once they premiere. Here’s what I’m likely to be watching that’s new. Emily’s Reason’s Why Not, Skating With Celebrities, Crumbs, Four Kings, Courting Alex. On with the grades.

NUMB3RS: Convergence, In Plain Sight, Toxin, Bones of Contention, Scorched

Kind of a NUMB3RS marathon of sorts. Started watching and wanted to see Bill Nye in the arson episode, so just ended up watching 5 episodes in a row. Good stuff.

The Boondocks: A Huey Freeman Christmas

Monster Garage: Texas High School Rat Rod

Arrested Development: Making a Stand

How I Met Your Mother: The Limo

Two and a Half Men: Santa’s Village of the Damned

Out of Practice: New Year’s Eve

American Chopper: Make-A-Wish Bike

Top Gear: Season 7 Episode 5

Surface: Episode 5

Watched log for Monday

Arrested Development: The Ocean Walker

Words cannot express how happy I was to see this back. And they had a killer of an episode. Every single time they show the “Star Wars Kid” video of George Michael, I bust up laughing. And of course, Mary Poppins flys back in while in Wee Britain. Hysterical. Damn FOX executives.

Random quote:”I’ll never catch her, she was an Olympic silv… Oh, I see now.”

Kitchen Confidential: French Fight

Michael Vartan and Bradley Cooper together again. Awesome. “It is, how you say, ON!” I’m so sorry that this show never gained enough of an audience, as I think it is one of the funniest shows on.

Monster Garage: Backyard Monsters

Out of Practice: I’ll Cry if I Want To

Jennifer Tilly is funny every time she’s on this show. There were several moments I was nearly crying from laughing. To the execs, two words. More. Crystal.

Crossing Jordan: Road Kill

New series first semester grades (repost from other ‘blog 10/27/05)

Well, since it’s now deep enough in the fall TV season for some series to be showing repeats in the ramp up to November Sweeps, I thought I’d catch you up with my current thoughts on the new series and even just the latest seasons of favorites. I think for now, though, an update of new series will have to do.

(Since this was originally posted, some of the shows have been canceled. Reunion, Kitchen Confidential, and Threshold)

Threshold (11/4/05?)

Had the ill-fated husband of Jack’s lover from 24. This show is creepy.

Surface: Ep. 4

Hmm… Dog + Hungry sea creature = Compleately predictable.

How I Met Your Mother: The Pineapple Incident

Great episode. Bonus points if you recognized Danica McKellar a.k.a Winnie Cooper.

Two and a Half Men: Something Salty and Twisted

Only watched because I was waiting for Out of Practice to be on.

Out of Practice: Guilt Trip

Medium: The Reckoning

Mike’s Fall TV New Series Reviews (Repost from personal ‘blog)

For those not able to watch all 18 hours of primetime television that are on every night, I’m doing a public service, taking the bullet and watching as much as I can and letting you guys know what’s good and what’s crap. Some things I decided were crap and haven’t even bothered with, but what I’ve watched so far of new series, I’ll give you the scoop.
