What’s in, what’s out

Well, here’s my take on what the upfronts mean to me. What shows I’m excited about, what shows I’m sorry to see leave, and which I’m glad are gone.

See the list of what’s canceled, staying, new and what’s moving after the break.

BTW, Many thanks to the bloggers at TVSquad for their compilation of these lists.  Read the rest of this entry »

Gilmore Girls: Bon Voyage (Series Finale)

What can I say about the Gilmore Girls finale? I thought it was really well done, it even made me cry a little. While this season was kind of a mess because of what had happened last season, I’m glad they were able to make things right or at least set them in that direction. I don’t know that an 8th season would have made it any less hard to let go, but it really had explored so much of the interactions between the characters, that it would almost become redundant. It is with a heavy heart, I bid farewell to the Girls, I will miss them, and the television landscape is an uglier place without them.

Finally… finally.

Ok, just had to comment on this because I saw it on TVSquad.

They have finally canceled the horror that is Seventh Heaven.  Frankly, my The CW viewing this last year has been limited to Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars with occasional Smallville masochistic viewing and if Gilmore Girls ends and Veronica Mars is canceled, I don’t know if there’s really anything that I want to watch on The CW anymore. Not that I watched Seventh Heaven, but it’s renewal left no room for other more deserving shows to be carried forward.

What I’m saying is that, I reserve the right to refuse to watch anything on The CW should certain shows meet their demise.
